Jon Owens is the composer of the song 'Fire Burns'. I have always thought that it was written by a Filipino since it was popular during the Campus Harvest here in the Philippines several years ago. We sang this song several times during the EN07 in Manila and he's a great worship leader and I praise God for such amazing talents.
On Sound
It's a guitar driven song, so the keyboard part is not that prominent, though I think synth voices and jazz/draw organs are used. I usually settle for synth strings for the most part of the song and I change my sound to electric organ at the bridge.
